EVERYONE FACES TRIALS & EXPERIENCES SUFFERING

In these articles, I will attempt to discuss the trials that plague both Christians and Non-Christians.  To begin with, trials are inevitable.  The Bible makes no attempt to say otherwise nor does the Bible teach that mature, dedicated Christian are free from the trials of life.  Job 14:1 “Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.”  Further Job was the most righteous man of his day.  Job 1:1 “There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”  Paul tells us in, 2 Corinthians 1:8 “For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:” God used the Apostle Paul to establish many New Testament Churches and write most of the New Testament, yet he experienced great persecution and incredible suffering.

I share this Scriptural evidence to unmask the false teaching that is pervading the Church today through so-called ‘Name it and claim it, believe it and receive it, health and prosperity preachers’.  In fact, the Scriptures teach that believers will experience more trials and suffer then unbelievers.  This is not a popular truth, but it is the truth.  By the way, the Bible says, John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  Jesus warned His followers in John 15:18-20, “If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.  Remember the word that I said unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.”

In future articles, we will explore the reasons for trials.Until Next Time

Verse of the Day

Matthew 20:17-19
And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
